Jeffery Allen Dye Suicide Prevention Fund

The JAD fund began in mid-2015 and since that time has provided over 200 hours of free mental health counseling to 150 young people under the age of 23. According to Mind Springs Health professionals, getting the mentally ill into counseling is one of the beest suicide preventions strategies; and the earlier, the better. For 2015, the funding from the Dye family is being matched with a contribution from the Craig-Scheckman Youth Advocacy Project to expand free mental health services to even more young people. Local counselors are reimbursed at $85 per hour for up to three sessions.
